supportHello, When try to set up the plugin appears that IP address as below: Sender Permitted From ( SPF ) Server Info Server IP Address: 127.0.0.1 IPv4 SPF Record Cannot get DNS records – refresh this page – if you still get this message after a few refreshes you may want to check your domain DNS control panel I know 127.0.0.1 is not server IP. How could I do in order the plugin detects the real IP. DNS records are not on server, are on GoDaddy.
Hi, your enquiry is the same as several here, where people’s servers can not find their external IP Address. If you use +a having the IP address is not actually required. I will fix the messaging in a future release, but it does the report from this plugin about SPF is advisory only and does not impact email delivery. Alan
Hello, I do have +a in the SPF within DNS records on GoDaddy. But website is hosted at different server. In the plugins message says the following: SPF Record Cannot get DNS records – refresh this page – if you still get this message after a few refreshes you may want to check your domain DNS control panel I think is because it doesnt recognize the real server IP. Fernando
That is fine +a points to teh IP of your webserver not GoDaddy DNS so all is fine.
Then why the message below appears and cant do anything? SPF Record Cannot get DNS records – refresh this page – if you still get this message after a few refreshes you may want to check your domain DNS control panel
Maybe is important to mention that I have multisite with different domains for each store/website.
Then why the message below appears and cant do anything? Because my plugin cant read your DNS – the message is just advisory to help you check your SPF – but does not impact functionality. There are other services that you can also use to check your SPF for instance https://mxtoolbox.com/spf.aspx
Ok, SPF is correct. I checked on many web services that check SPF records. The issue is that emails still going to Spam :S
