Maybe breadcrumbs in BuddyPress are a matter of taste, but I like them. I find a breadcrumb trail handy to go from a user page back to the members page. I also like to have a consistent look across my site, which uses breadcrumbs in WordPress and bbPress. I did have to modify the plugin to get it to work on my site. But it does work and it was the only thing I could find that did. See my post in the support forum about using the plugin with Genesis.
