review · 2 starsUpdate after first productive use: 1. Critical stability/reliability issue: Approx. 1 out of 10 mails is sent without PDF attached. 2. PDF entries cannot be filtered or searched by any form field, but by date only. This is useless in my case with several hundred entries per day. 3. There is no easy function to re-sent the notification mail with the attached PDF. 4. PDF file size is huge. A one-page text-only PDF is approx. 800 kByte! Original review (after a small-scale field test): It works … somehow. Setting up conditions for elements is anything but user-friendly making it horribly difficult to set up complex conditions (e.g. for iterations/lists). Positioning such conditional elements is a matter of pure luck (even if positioned correctly in the builder, they might end up somewhere else on the final PDF). In addition, style is not a priority of this builder (e.g. aligning elements exactly to each other is almost impossible as there is no locking mechanism). Last but not least, date formats are arbitrarily formatted regardless of the date/currency settings, address fields cannot be formatted at all and the middle name of names is simply neglected. Hello! Sorry you had a bad experience with the plugin. Setting up conditions for elements is anything but user-friendly making it horribly difficult to set up complex conditions. Unfortunatelly there is very little info for me to work on this but if you coud detail me why was not user frendly(like where you got stuck got frustrated? what did you tried to do that was not possible? how would you have liked the conditional thing to work or let you do?) i would appreciate it. Positioning such conditional elements is a matter of pure luck (even if positioned correctly in the builder, they might end up somewhere else on the final PDF). I have not had any report of elements positioned on another part of the pdf either but if you encountered that issue you can create a support ticket or go to the support forum to get assistance about this. style is not a priority of this builder (e.g. aligning elements exactly to each other is almost impossible as there is no locking mechanism) There are actually both, a lock in mechanism SNAG_Program-0027.png And a way to align multiple elements exactly to each others SNAG_Program-0028.png Last but not least, date formats are arbitrarily formatted regardless of the date/currency settings, address fields cannot be formatted at all and the middle name of names is simply neglected. In template settings you can define the date format. The format of the address field like you said is not customizable and is not customizable as nobody has requested such a feature but if you tell me what kind of formatting you want to do this can be added as a new feature. Also the plugin should show the middle name when needed if this is not the case please privide more information to address the issue (like screenshot of the settings of your name field and version of wpform you are using). Dear Edgar, regarding your first answer: a) Complex conditions: For example, I have a drop down list with n number values from 1 to n. Depending on this number n, there is a set of input fields shown in the form n times. Now I would like list each set in a table row, meaning the table should have n rows. b) Positioning such conditional elements: I tried to implement the above-mentioned example by using the “conditional content” field, each field containing a table with one row. Theses tables were finally placed anywhere on the PDF regardless of their position in the builder/designer. c) Alignment: I didn’t know the alignment options can be applied to multi-element selections. Will try it next time. Thanks! d) Formatting: i) Date format settings of the template didn’t work. ii) WPForms offers not only a “First name, last name” option for name fields, but also a “First name, middle name, last name” option. I would like all 3 field values to be shown in this order on the PDF if I selected this option. At the moment, only first and last name are printed even if a middle name was given. Additional information to d)i) I have set the date format to “d.m.Y” in the template settings, but still “d/m/Y” is printed in the PDFs. Priority of issues: The worst and most important issue is issue number 1 (missing attachment), followed by issue number 3 (easy re-sent function) and 2 (search by form fields).
