I had the plugin working great (without validation that is) SSO worked, Comment Integration worked, life was good. Then I updated to WordPress 4.0 because of the ever present “please update” notice on the top of my blog 🙁 Big mistake. Not only did the comment integration stop working for new posts, disabling comment integration doesn’t totally disable it 🙁 I had posts with several comments showing as “no comments” and the link to #vanilla-comments was still present even with comment integration disabled. I would very much like to find a way to get this plugin working with 4.0, or even hear about someone using 4.0 with this plugin successfully… https://wordpress.org/plugins/vanilla-forums/ Hi MrShawn We’ve made a note to check v4.0 compatibility issues. You can also post to http://vanillaforums.org/discussions to get support from our open source community. Best, Luc Hey Shawn – I’m in the same boat. Ivez – is there a support company that we can pay to get this issue fixed ? I can’t get rid of this error : Couldn’t find a Vanfilla Forum at this url :/ PHP Version 5.4.32 curl enabled wordpress and vanilla installed on the same server / same domain Hi Ivez, Thanks for your comment, and BTW I did: http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/28154/vanilla-forum-comment-integration-stops-working-after-wordpress-4-0-upgrade Sadly, without WP 4.0 support I’ve having to say goodbye to Vanilla 🙁 and move to another forum software package. PS – Best of luck David! Shawn It seems the latest version of Vanilla forums and the plugin works but you first have to go to your vanilla dashboard and enabled embedding for the sync to work. I have the same problem. Embedding is enabled but the URL is not recognized. Funny though: the old embed script with the seperate plug still works – although deactivated. Only when completely deleted nothing gets embedded. What can we do to make it work?
