review · 1 starsThe free plugin section should not be just an area where you can market and restrict all features. “Please consider upgrading to CartBounty Pro to enable this feature.” You put this notice on all shared properties. Then what is the purpose of this plugin here? Sell from your site. Since this is your sales policy, I inevitably stay away from using your plugin and making it available to my customers.
Hi @karakan1 Thank you for your review and feedback. If you take a look at our plugin description, we have tried to very carefully and honestly outline all features that our Free version provides and then the features that are available in our paid version. We have grown the plugin very slowly and from the beginning offering all of its basic features for free and as time passed by more and more of our users started asking us to add various new features. Product evolution, development, support and constantly making sure it is compatible with all latest WordPress and WooCommerce versions takes a lot of time and effort. And since we would also like to put food on our table time after time 🙂 – we have made some additional features available just in our Paid version if somebody would see the benefit in them for their business. We could have just left out all additional features or abstain from showing which features are available in our Pro version, but that would simply create a bad UX and a lot of questions from our users and requests to add extra features. Again, I’m very sorry you feel this way and you are really not forced to use our product if you do not see the benefit for your business. The free version is intended for small businesses that are just looking to monitor their shopping carts and get a sense of what is actually happening in their store. The free version also serves as introduction – giving our users the feeling of using CartBounty and if it is a good fit for their business in order to advance further. Best wishes
