review · 2 starsI developed a course page in a local xampp installation and everything worked find in localhost. Then I uploaded the files to the production server and voilà a ton of features are gone. Turns out the plugin offers different features when installed on localhost (see function is_production() in wpcomplete.php). Once you put it online, everything is different. It’s misleading and has cost me some time to figure out. Aside from that the plugin works okay, but if you want the course curriculum to look halfway decent (i.e., not just a bullet list of stuff) you’ll have to roll up your sleeves and add a lot of code.
Hey @kreuzheber . Sorry to hear that you found his misleading. The reason for this is because we have a lot of people that ask us for a “developer” license for the plugin while working on it locally. But I see what you mean that we probably don’t do a good enough job of making clear that even while in developer mode (on your local box), that the paid features are enabled but won’t be in production unless you purchase a license. We’ll try to clear that up with the next update. That said, don’t hesitate to email us with any questions. We try to be very helpful and work with people to get things sorted out. We appreciate the feedback.
