I tried updating from version 1.3 to version 2 on http://www.ladysmithdowntown.com/ and the site came down. Had to delete the plugin. Is there a way to get 1.3 back? https://wordpress.org/plugins/random-banner/ I Concur. When I try to create a new Banner, on save I get a polite message that says something went wrong. OK. I deactivated the Plugin and reactivated it. It now seems to work correctly. This is a big improvement on the previous version. Thankyou. Hi Paul Can you please share more details on site down? We will solve it. Here is the version 1.3 http://buffercode.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/1.3.zip Hi Philip Thanks for your appreciation. We are focusing to having more enhanced features in next release. @paul : Here is the version 1.3 Random Banner v1.3 Thanks! I install and try to activate then see this: Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in /data/in/l/ladysmithdowntown/www/wp-content/plugins/random-banner/include/validation/random_banner.php on line 14 – Paul Yes, 1.3 works great! See website right sidebar Hi Paul, We have fixed the bug and now it will support PHP less than 5.4. Please update the plugin and share your feedback if any. Thanks Yes, I had to delete then re-install and add banner ads back in but it works great. Thank you for your excellent support. Like others, I installed the new version and my website went away. One site of my multisite installation somehow survived, but the Network Admin pages were gone and I couldn’t recover by deactivating the plugin the way I did the last time this happened (with a different plugin). I recovered my sites by by renaming the random-banner plugin folder. I’ll see if deleting and re-installing fixes it. I guess this means reconfiguring the plug-in from scratch as well. –Nope. I received this message when I reinstalled: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /hsphere/local/home/rscowden/far2go.net/blog/wp-content/plugins/random-banner/include/widget/random_banner_widget.php on line 52 I don’t have time to work with it, so I’m giving up for now. Hi mch2k3, Am really sorry for breaking your website. Please let me know which PHP and WordPress version you are using? If you wish I will install and check for the issue on your site. My Skype : ma.vinothkumar Gtalk : ma.vinothkumar@gmail.com Please let me know. Hi mch2k3, Kindly update the plugin to version 2.0.2 and please let me know if anything breaks. Thanks
