The footnotes do not work when placed in an image caption. Is there a way around this? https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-footnotes/ Answering my own question… I did find this information on how to implement ‘nested shortcodes.’ It works, but I would like to know whether or not the plugin developer considers this to be a good solution.
