supportI am trying to embed a google site URL but when I do… the page or post forwards to the site rather than embedding. Please let me know what I should do to fix this either in the URL {{URL}} or as a CODE value.
Can you provide some more detail on this? How are trying to embed this – i.e. what exactly are you adding to the page? Also, what URL are you trying to use?
Just the URL for the Website (a Google Site URL) as you described in the instructions.
So, you’re not putting it in double braces? e.g. {{your url}} Can you share the exact URL?
I followed your instructions so yes … I did do that the URL is https://sites.google.com/view/cartunecards/MerchNews
Thanks – that URL was useful. So, that’s not going to work. The URL is supposed to be for a script, whereas that’s an entire site and why you’re seeing the behaviour you are. So, if you had a link to a script that displayed some information, then that’s what you’d use here. When it’s an entire web page, then that takes over in preference to yours.
Your best solution here is to use an iframe – essentially, a window within your web page, in which you can put anything, including other sites. There are lots of tutorials available on how to do this. e.g. https://smartwp.com/wordpress-iframe/
