any new update coming soon? because some plugins are NOT compatible with this classic editor but im LOVING it and i would like to continue to use it! The Classic Widgets plugin simply disables the Gutenberg extension features in the WordPress core. This allows the classic widgets included in the core to be used again. As far as I know, there are no plans to make any changes to these in Core Trac, where WordPress developers publicly discuss any changes. However, your concern should be directed more towards the plugins that are not compatible with the classic widgets. They would need to add support for this on their end. It hasn’t been updated for over a year. The owners from plugins that are incompatible have already been contacted. I guess that in connection with the major WordPress release 6.9 (on next tuesday), the compatibility flag on the plugin will also be raised again. But as I said, this is just a guess. The Classic Widgets plugin simply disables the Gutenberg extension features in the WordPress core. This allows the classic widgets included in the core to be used again. As far as I know, there are no plans to make any changes to these in Core Trac, where WordPress developers publicly discuss any changes. However, your concern should be directed more towards the plugins that are not compatible with the classic widgets. They would need to add support for this on their end.
