supportHi, I am trying to add a location, first time in a while, but I am getting this database error WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘location_settings’ in ‘field list’] INSERT INTO wp_map_locations ( location_messages , location_settings , location_group_map , location_title , location_address , location_latitude , location_longitude , location_city , location_state , location_country , location_postal_code , location_draggable , location_infowindow_default_open , location_animation ) VALUES (”, ‘a:4:{s:7:\”onclick\”;s:6:\”marker\”;s:13:\”redirect_link\”;s:0:\”\”;s:20:\”redirect_link_window\”;s:3:\”yes\”;s:14:\”featured_image\”;s:0:\”\”;}’, ‘a:0:{}’, ‘Tokoyo’, ‘Tokyo, Japan’, ‘35.6764225’, ‘139.650027’, ”, ‘Tokyo’, ‘Japan’, ”, ”, ”, ‘BOUNCE’) Looking through the database there doesn’t appear to be a “location_settings” column so bit confused. I did think about re-installing but I don’t want to loose the 70+ locations I have added previously. Any help gratefully received.
Hello, Thank you for contacting us. Please rest assured, your location data will not be lost if you reactivate the plugin. If you are encountering a database error, kindly follow the steps below: 1. If you have both the free WP Maps and WP Maps Pro versions activated, please deactivate the free version and reinstall the Pro plugin. 2. Hi, Thanks for the reply. The deactivate/reactivate fixed the error messages, thanks. However when I add a new entry it’s not showing on the map. It is visible in the “Manage locations” section and I can edit/save changes but it doesn’t appear on the map for some reason? Thanks
Hello, To display locations on the map, you need to assign them to it. Please follow these steps: Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. Navigate to our plugin menu and click on “Manage Maps” . Edit the map you want to update. Find the “Assign Locations” section, open it, and select the locations you wish to display on the map. Click Save Map . Visit the frontend to see your updated map with the assigned locations. Best Regards WePlugins Team
