supportSince I installed the Block Editor Colors when I select any text anywhere in this website the usual blue highlight colour over a selected text disappears making this action very tricky because I can’t see what I am selecting. It happens when editign on back end and when selecting text on the front end. I have tried unistalling the plugin but the problem persists. The plugin and the web works fine, but I have been experiencing this issue since I installed it and I don’t have a clue how to fix it. Did you encounter this issue before? Is there any solution? I have found this code which seems to help but I don’t know how to revert to the usual situation where there is a blue highlight over the selected text and no need of extra css. ::selection { background-color: #FFA; color: #000; } Thank you. Hi @zaulcalo2018 , I’ve tried to replicate the case though I could see the selected text marked in blue color as usual. I’ve also installed the Astra theme and still text selection worked properly at the back-end. Though it looks like there is also installed child theme. Could you try to activate the parent theme and check if the issue occurs? Could you specify if you use a specific browser or it happens in all the browsers on your PC? What OS do you use? Does it happen while editing text in a specific block(s)? Thanks.
Hi Dmytro. Thank you for your reply and for your trial. I received yesterday an email about the issue from another post (Question about text disappearing when highlighting with mouse) and @dorsman gave me the solution. It was very simple. “In your customize area, you click global, then colors, then base colors, then whatever color your theme color is, that is what color your highlighted text will show as. ” It was just that. I updated and that is why you could see it working. I am sorry not to have close this post here. I got mixed up. Thanks again for your help. Your plugin works great. 😉
