DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS PLUGING IT JUST SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. After years of solid functionality, the plug-in is broken. It fails to update anything on any of the 15-20 sites I have it on. I have reported this in the support forum, over 3 months ago. Silence. DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS PLUGING IT JUST SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. The claim that it doesn’t work is just false, “fake news”. I have used the plugin on more than 50 sites for many years now, and it always work. But there can be delays. If there are severe delays, the reson is not this plugin, but WordPress core or the WordPress.org infrastructure. If it doesn’t work for you at all, it may depend on other plugins, configuration, or, more probably the server environment. Automatic updates of minor versions is not dependent on this plugin, as it’s enabled by default. If that doesn’t work, fixing that, is out of the scope of this plugin.
