I strongly advise against installing this plugin! Even basic settings can cause critical errors on your website. The worst part is that you might not notice the issues right away because they don’t appear on all products—only some. On top of that, the plugin significantly slows down your site. Poor performance, hidden bugs, and potential crashes make it a terrible choice. Look for a better alternative—this one isn’t worth the risk! Conclusion: Avoid at all costs! I’m surprised by your experience as we haven’t had a bug report for WPSSO in several months, and our users and customers often report better performance after activating the plugin. When first activating WPSSO, the plugin does schedule a background task to create cache objects for Schema and meta tag markup, but this would not affect page load times as the task is executed by the web server in background. Generally, when a user or customer encounters an issue, they will post an error message to the wordpress.org support forum, or open a ticket on the Premium site, and we will provide some context for the error – there could be a coding error in WPSSO, but more often than not, WPSSO simply triggered a bug in another plugin or theme – either way, plugin and theme authors are usually pretty quick at responding and fixing issues when they are reported. js.
