supportHello, Thank you so much for the plugin. However, we’ve noticed that we can’t access the eBay categories. The wp_ebay_categories table in the database is empty, so when we try to update the category in our profiles, the pop-up window appears blank. We’ve seen this in the log every time we try to refresh the account details: 2026-06-01T07:55:14+00:00 Error XML error on line 9 col 8 byte 370 Mismatched tag 2026-06-01T07:55:14+00:00 Error <HTML><HEAD> <TITLE>Service Unavailable</TITLE> </HEAD><BODY> <H1>Service Unavailable - Zero size object</H1> The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Hi @kiburisa Could you please submit a support ticket here: https://wplister.com/request-support/ Once we receive it, we’ll be glad to assist you further. Kind regards, Menchie WPLab Support
I have exactly the same issue. It would not work after i created a new Postage Policy on Ebay , then did a refresh so it would pick it up. Blank page ever since, and it’s the same on both the Lite and paid for version. I have reported it with a ticket, but 4 days no reply ???
To WPLab Support, We experienced this exact same issue. You have not updated your plugin for months now, and you have left people with a broken WooCommerce-eBay system. The issue was caused by eBay officially decommissioning the old Trading API GetCategories() endpoint in April 2026 – something they will have made public for months and months, and yet WPLab took no action to update. WP-Lister still relies entirely on this legacy SOAP/XML API for downloading eBay category trees. Once eBay disabled it, category refreshes have been failing and the wp_ebay_categories table remains flushed and empty. The plugin is throwing misleading XML parser errors because the old SDK can no longer handle the API response after decommissioning. We fixed it by patching: /classes/model/EbayCategoriesModel.php I doubt I can post the full fix here but I am happy to share it if anybody wants it – including you WPLab! Yes, I fixed your broken plugin for you 😉
Hi there, @noggin1964 we have already implemented a fix for this issue in the Pro version. A fix for the Lite version is also available and will be included in an upcoming release. @fearworksmedia thank you for bringing this to our attention and for taking the time to investigate. We are already aware of this issue and have developed a fix that is currently undergoing testing. Once testing is complete, the fix will be included in an upcoming release, which will be available shortly. Kind regards, Menchie WPLab Support
Hello, Thank you all for your answers. We waited for the plugin update and just installed it right now, but the problem persists. We just opened a support ticket. @fearworksmedia , would you be so kind as to share your fix? I think it could help us a lot until support fixes this problem. If possible, please let us know the best way! Best regards This reply was modified 1 day, 22 hours ago by kiburisa .
Hi @kiburisa , I haven’t had a chance to test the latest update on any of our sites yet but I will do in the next 24 hours, and see if the categories function is working for us with the latest plugin version, or if it is still broken. If you go to my profile and then visit our website you can get our email address – send me a message. I know it can be really frustrating when something like this stops working – it effectively stops you from running your business. Obviously we want an official fix from the publisher, and I had rather hoped they would have fixed it… perhaps they have and you just need to refresh your eBay account details on your WordPress site? Maybe try that as an oAuth token might just need refreshing or something simple like that? I’ll give it a try and see what results I get but feel free to send me an email.
