I used the plugin for some time, no issue until today. I checked, it’s still activated. Got 12 spam comments, all were similar and probably bot-created. I suggest combining use of Forget Spam Comment plugin with the “ Disallowed Comment Keys ” feature of WordPress available under Settings > Discussions. It would be greatly helpful.

Yes, I am also experiencing sudden increase of spam comments. This plugin was working perfectly but since last few months, getting lots of spam comments. Updated to the latest version but still receiving spam comments.
