Some special character output as ACII code

When creating a marker if you use some special characters some are outputting as the ACII code. Example : + × ÷ = / _ < > [ ] ! @ # $ % & * ( ) -‘ ” : ; , ? , . *unable to demonstrate the output since this input converts the ACCI code to it’s proper characters so the broken character apear to be: & ‘ ” It seams to be effecting the front end and the backend for the “title” of the markers.
