supportSmartCrawl seems to break Gutenberg’s link popup. This issue appears to have been first reported on this forum in March , but it seems to be unresolved in the last four updates. When using the plugin, the console logs the warning index.ts:93 wp.blockEditor.__experimentalLinkControl is deprecated since version 6.8. Please use wp.blockEditor.LinkControl instead. That script is enqueued at smartcrawl-wordpress-seo/includes/core/controllers/class-assets.php:622 When the script is dequeued (or the plugin deactivated), linking returns to normal. However, dequeueing the script prevents SmartCrawl from being added to its metabox which prevents being able to update post/page data. Steps to reproduce I had thought that perhaps this was an issue related to my specific WordPress installation. Therefore, I used a WordPress Playground. Create WordPress Playground Install and activate only SmartCrawl Open any page or post Select text and attempt to link it The following issues are visible in the provided screenshots. The first is with SmartCrawl activated, the second is the default editing experience. The link input box is misplaced The site pages are not shown below the search input The link icon is different Do you have a timeline for resolving this issue? Is there a beta or pre-release version of the plugin to try? I’d prefer not to deactivate or remove the plugin, but I may be left with no choice. Thanks, Adam
