review · 1 starsAs soon as I installed it the blog got very slow, I tried to use some feature but I got errors. The manual for wordpress is lacking of information. After I read the support forum I realized it’s already having a lot of compatibility issues with Joomla, I can’t imagine what can happen with wordpress. In my opinion it’s not very suitable for wordpress and wordpress users.
Jomres is a powerful system, but power comes at the cost of server resources. If you’re using a shared server then there’s a good chance that you’re fighting other hosting accounts for those resources. WordPress is very fast because it’s lightweight, so doesn’t require a fast server to run. As a result, you might not be aware of it’s limitations until you install something the size and complexity of Jomres. Jomres doesn’t have any compatability problems with Joomla, however we encourage users to customise the system. As a result it’s not unusual for upgrades to cause issues if those same users haven’t yet adjusted to adapt their customisations to fit new requirements. >> In my opinion it’s not very suitable for wordpress and wordpress users. I think you’re not giving your fellow WordPress users any credit. Please remember that Jomres’ integration into WordPress is very new, and whilst we’ve tested it as thoroughly as we can before release it’s inevitable that there will be teething problems. We trust that users like yourself will contribute their findings back to the project so that we can all benefit. Sure, there’s a learning curve with Jomres, but then there’s a curve with any product that’s worthwhile learning. It’s impossible to build something powerful, with a lot of options, but make it ludicrously simple to use. We’ve done our best without crippling your ability to maximise it’s potential, but if there’s any way we can make it easier for you to use, we’re open to suggestions.
