supportHello, for some reason, the short code won’t work in my time-line post, but will work on my wp- pages, and wp- post. Please help, I really love this plugin and need it to finish up my website. Is there any php code i can use to insert it into the back end? I’m using a plugin called:Cool Time-line PRO. I literally just want to make it so the person can comment on the timeline post The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link]
Hi arielle919, thanks for reaching out. I have not tested the comment for on pages that are neither posts nor pages in WordPress nor do I know Cool Time-line Pro. How much technical knowledge do you have so that I know what kind of help you need? Thanks, Thomas
I’m a web a graphic designer. I know html, css, php and a little javascript. So I can edit the plugin code from the back end. I just need to know the code to do it…
Hi arielle919, thanks for your feedback. It has been a while that I wrote this handy plugin so I had to take a look at the code again. There is nothing within Advanced Comment Form that prevents the form to show up for specific posts. The [comment-form] shortcode more or less just executes the comment_form() PHP function. Maybe, shortcodes don’t work in general in that page where you tried it or can you use other shortcodes here? Thanks, Thomas
