hi there, I’ve just recognised an issue by using plugin “Ultimate Social Media Plus”. I have three languages for my website which are English, Chinese and traditional Chinese. I found today the sharing to WeChat for Chinese language and traditional Chinese doesn’t work. Normally when I click the button for sharing the post to WeChat, it should pop up a QR code for me to scan. But now it doesn’t work under a Chinese post. it happens just by this post. Do you maybe know why? Thanks a lot. This topic was modified 11 months, 3 weeks ago by hz1896 . The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link] We checked and could not reproduce the issue, please see https://monosnap.com/file/29DRcxim1ES06r0RiGLwAG8VdNSq0Q . Maybe the issue is with your browser? Could you please clear the cache and/or try on a difference browser/device? This reply was modified 11 months, 3 weeks ago by alexsev . Hi, Thanks for help. Could you please check again using following link? 8. 如何给比特币估值,从PlanB模型失败谈起 – I have also recognised that the sharing to WeChat by mobile doesn’t work. For example by my Iphone X’s Safari, there is no pop up for QR code at all. It jumped just to same page when I clicked the sharing button for WeChat. Could you please also check this? Thanks a ton for any feedback. BR We’ll check and get back to you shortly. We’ve identified that the issue is caused by the length of the URL – if the address is too long, the WeChat QR code may not generate properly on desktop. Try using shorter URLs (e.g. by simplifying the post slug) for posts where sharing doesn’t work. This should resolve the issue. As for the mobile issue, we’ve confirmed the problem and will include a fix in the next plugin update. Hi, Thanks for help. But once the post in WordPress was published, I can’t change the link anymore. Is there any other solution for generating the WeChat QR code? BR Hi, I’ve checked another post in Chinese which has certainly longer link than privious example. And this one works, has No problem with generating of WeChat QR code. Would you please check again? Thanks a lot. If the encoded data exceeds a certain limit, the QR code generation fails and throws a code length overflow error. We’ve implemented a fix by increasing the QR code size from 256×256 to 300×300 pixels, which allows it to accommodate longer encoded data. This change resolves the issue and will be included in the next plugin update.
