supportAfter installation the button was visible in the admin bar above. The text was a little bit long and I thought it was a “bug”. I hide it and the settings were saved…now I want it to bring back so I set the option to show and saved the settings…. It says the settings are saved but no button appears in the admin bar. No error was given. the option stays on “hide”. Debug mode: out PHP: 8.1.24 WP: 6.4.1 Force Refresh: 2.9.1 Thanks in advanced, Frans This topic was modified 2 years, 6 months ago by fvbussel .
Hey Frans, Thanks for reaching out. I found that issue too and went ahead and fixed that in the upcoming 2.9.2 release. In the meantime, you can download the beta release here ( this is the link to download the beta ) to confirm that this fixes the issue. If it does, you can keep it in place until 2.9.2 is released (which will happen this week). Take a look and let me know what you think — thanks! I’ve installed it. The plugin is overwrited by the beta relaese 2.9.2 As far I can see everything works fine now. I can hide and show the button and also the time is updated. Settings are updated and stored. I keep this version and wait for the release of version 2.9.2. Thank you for the quick response and solution!!! Perfect, thanks for getting back! I’ll keep this thread open for now and close it once 2.9.2 is released.
Another issue, small issue. The message I got (beneath left) does not give the time. It says: You’ve successfully refreshed your site. All connected browsers will refresh within . ? 🙂
Hey Frans, Can you send a screenshot?

Perfect, thanks! I found this issue and added a new beta. Do you mind downloading the latest beta here ? Full details of its contents are available here for review .
Works!!
Perfect, thanks! This will be included as part of the upcoming release as well.
If I change a page and press the update button and view the page within WordPress the button of Force Refresh is not visible in the admin bar. I’ll just mention it.
Hey Frans, just to make sure I’m clear on the issue so I can try and replicate it, can you include a screen capture that shows the behavior you’re describing?
Not really a problem. Workscreen https://fvbussel.nl/Work-screen.jpg After changes, update and view page: https://fvbussel.nl/Page-view.jpg This reply was modified 2 years, 6 months ago by fvbussel .
Hey Frans, I’m afraid I still don’t understand the behavior your describing. Please send either a video screencapture (not image screen shots) that show the unexpected behavior your seeing or provide a detailed set of steps to reproduce the issue.
See: https://fvbussel.nl/Chrome-16112023.mp4 (not a problem!)
Hey Frans, thanks for sending this over. This is expected behavior. The Admin Bar button doesn’t appear in the page editor UI since that is a separately-defined UI by WordPress. If you’d like to see the full WordPress Admin Bar, you’d need to disable Fullscreen Mode . Detailed instructions on how to do that in WordPress can be found here . You can, however, initiate a page refresh from that UI without disabling Fullscreen Mode.
Following up on the earlier issues, these have been fixed as part of the newly-released 2.9.2, which can be downloaded at https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-refresh .
Thanks for the quick support and updates !!! I’ve installed the new release and see no problems.
