Conversation
supportI have used the plugin for years and all my images are captioned automatically. However, I wish to bulk-remove the captions from all these images. I want an empty field. I have deselected the caption in the settings, but new images get labeled as ‘Image-title’ for some reason as well.
Hello Anton, my name is Arun. Thank you for using my plugin. Removing captions is tricky. I hope you know that WordPress stores Captions (and other image attributes) in two locations. One is in the Media Library and the other is embedded in the post HTML. I have written about it here: https://imageattributespro.com/how-wordpress-store-image-attributes/ Updating or removing captions from the post HTML isn’t a feature that’s available right now. However, if your theme is sourcing the captions from the Media Library, then you can update or remove them using Image Attributes Pro. A simple test would be to update the caption in the Media Library for an image, clear caches and see if the caption is updated for the said image in a post. If that works, you can use Image Attributes Pro to replace all captions with a blank space. Please take a look and let me know. I hope this helps 🙂
