I uninstalled the plugin but I see I still have a file called “malcare-waf.php” in the root wp installation directory as well as my .htaccess file still has malcare configuration. If I delete the ‘malcare-waf.php” file the site crashes. How do I completely remove all configurations that this plugin added? I don’t even know how it got installed in the first place… Hello, Thanks for reaching out to us! To completely remove the plugin configurations, you need to delete the include code from wp-config.php, htaccess, and user.ini files. After that, you can safely remove the “malcare-waf.php” file from the root directory. Removing the file without addressing the include code may result in an HTTP 500 error on your site. I hope that helps. Regards, Sweta Can you please create a doc that specifies exactly what info should be removed from a site for your plugin to be completely uninstalled? Is there some uninstall tool or housekeeping option available? Hello, At the moment, we don’t possess any documents on this topic. Could you please raise a ticket here? We’ll assist you in safely uninstalling the plugin from your site. Regards, Sweta Hello, We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread. Regards, Sweta
