supportWe are having trouble reconnecting to our paypal account. The module threw an error and was automatically turned off. The message said we needed more settings in our paypal account, but we could not find any more details. We’ve tried deactivating, deleting, and reinstalling this module, but the settings-paypal get started button, all it does is send us to our paypal account; i.e. it does not reconnect. Any help will be appreciated The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link]
Hi @bobnilsson , Sorry that you’re having problems. Can you please tell me what this error message said? (Please don’t include any email addresses or other account information as this is a public message board.) It’s possible that you may need to add additional information on PayPal to be able to use your PayPal account to sell goods and services. Thanks, Scott
The original error said paypal account needs some more settings. But when we go through the reinstall steps, this is what happens: Setup PayPal Account select your country (PayPal Accept PayPal is already checked and cannot be unchecked; which is fine) click “Connect” It then goes to PayPal “Let’s create your account” page, but doesn’t make any settings available or obvious. We don’t want to set up a new account. Even when we get to a paypal login page, nothing regarding reconnecting is available, and the module still won’t connect. From the original install instructions, it seems like there should be a page of settings within the module that are now being skipped during the re-install process. Like telling the module what paypal account to use.
Also, if you go to the Museum of Bad Art home page https://museumofbadart.org/ ; you can see that the button is not working at the bottom of the page This reply was modified 1 year, 3 months ago by bobnilsson .
Hi @bobnilsson , When you click connect, you should see a page that looks like the below image. Just enter your existing PayPal account email address. Then, after logging in, it should take you to a page that looks like this. Just click return to store and you should be connected to PayPal. If you’re not seeing this flow, can you please tell me what you are seeing?
We got it – thanks for the help!
Oops, isn’t resolved. We’re getting this error when we click the PayPal donate button (The value cannot be zero.)
Hi @bobnilsson , Yes, the amount needs to be set to an amount greater then $.50 cents. Scott
ok – figured it out. Thanks again!
