supportHello, I would like to ask if there is a way to automatically delete a subscriber from the system when they unsubscribe, instead of only changing their status to “unsubscribed”. According to standard data privacy policies, we state that personal data is only processed until the user unsubscribes. However, if unsubscribing only changes the status while the email address remains stored in the database, this still counts as data processing — without a justified purpose. Is there an option or recommended approach to ensure that the subscriber’s data (e.g. email address) is removed completely after they unsubscribe? Thank you in advance for your help!
Hello @robertherold , if you go to Subscribers > Maintenance, there is a quick action button to delete all unsubscribed users. You can run this action periodically, ensuring that all unsubscribed users get deleted. But there’s a reason if we don’t delete those users automatically: you need to keep proof of their unsubscription. That’s why we move them to a separated list. Michael
