Hi support team, I am experiencing an issue with the PayPal payment method using your “Stripe Payment for WooCommerce” plugin. The Situation: On Stripe side: PayPal is fully configured, active, and enabled under the default platform account ( pmc_1QuB0G… ) settings (both in Live and Test modes). On WooCommerce side: PayPal does not appear anywhere in the Stripe settings/payment methods list in the WordPress backend. My Environment & Setup: Store Country: France Store Currency: EUR Plugin version: 10.7.0 Steps I have already tried: Clear the plugin cache and perform a manual synchronization / reconnection with Stripe. Verified that other payment methods (like Bancontact, iDEAL, or Giropay) appear and work correctly if enabled. Ensured that I am using the standard Checkout / Stripe Payment Element if required. I have inspected the WooCommerce Stripe logs and (probably) found the source of the mismatch. The plugin is fetching the payment_method_configurations list, and it returns 3 configurations: My Default Platform Account: pmc_1QuB0G… (Where PayPal is available: true / preference: on) A WooCommerce Default profile: pmc_1SqFdQA… (PayPal available: false) A “Billing Payments” profile: pmc_1SqFduA… (PayPal available: false) Currently, the extension seems to hook into the “Billing Payments” configuration ( pmc_1SqFduA… ). This profile has an unknown parent ID: “parent”: “ pmc_1S5u6aGX… “. On this profile, PayPal is explicitly disabled by Stripe: "paypal": { "available": false, "display_preference": { "overridable": true, "preference": "off", "value": "off" } } My Questions : How can I force the WooCommerce plugin to use my Default Platform Account configuration ( pmc_1QuB0G…. ) instead of the “Billing Payments” one, so that PayPal can be properly inherited and displayed? Alternatively, is there a way to trigger a full synchronization from the plugin to force the “Billing Payments” profile to update and reflect the default platform account’s permissions? I can send my WooCommerce System Status Report and Stripe plugin logs if requiered to help you investigate. Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards, Cyrille C. I can understand your concern, let me clarify.tThe Stripe payment gateway for WooCommerce does not include PayPal as a directly supported payment method within the plugin. You can find the list of supported payment methods here: https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#features Also, You can find the list of supported additional payment methods here: https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/setup-and-configuration/additional-payment-methods/#which-apms For paypal payment method you can use our following plugins: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-paypal-payments/ Thank you for understanding and cooperation. Hi, Thank you for your prompt and detailed response. I’m surprised that this payment option isn’t available in this extension, even though it can be accessed through Stripe’s built-in features. I won’t be able to use the solution you suggested, such as adding a specific PayPal extension, because it poses a number of issues that I’ve already experienced with extensions I use and can’t do without—particularly for tax management in B2B commerce. Thank you for your service, Best regards. Hi there! Thank you for your understanding and for sharing additional details about your setup. I can certainly appreciate your perspective. While PayPal may be available through Stripe’s own platform in some cases, support for a payment method within Stripe does not automatically mean it is supported by the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin. Each payment method requires separate implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance within the plugin. At this time, PayPal is not a supported payment method in the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin, and I understand that using a separate PayPal integration may not be a viable option for your business due to the compatibility and tax management requirements of your B2B workflow. While I don’t have any updates regarding plans to support PayPal through the Stripe Gateway plugin, I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Understanding how merchants are using Stripe and which payment methods are important to them helps inform future development discussions. Thank you again for your feedback and for using WooCommerce.
