Took a couple minutes to figure it out. I just ban everyone using “host” and it never misses a beat. I had a spammer hitting me over 100 times a nite, he went bye bye..blocked every time. Unwanted Spiders were the same way. I found Wassup plugin worked so I could see the visitor info, then feed that in to the VSF block options. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vsf-simple-block/
