For some reason, I never receive an update. Updates are available for plugins and themes. Even before the upgrade to 3.4.1 of WordPress and before that, 3.4, I wasn’t receiving update notifications. I do receive the test e-mail without issues. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/update-notifier/ As there doesn’t seem to be any updates for this plugin, please check out WP Updates Notifier . I tried that plugin as well as “mail on update” and “update notifications” but they aren’t working either. I’m sorry to hear they don’t work. I was using “WP Updates Notifier” until a couple of months back. Once I started logging in to my site regularly, I stopped using it. I expect to log on regularly but not as an administrator. I’d prefer to only logon as an administrator if needed. For example design changes, plugin or theme installations, user account changes, etc. During these times, sure I’ll see if there are updates available but I’d rather know before hand so that I may research the importance of the update and test it out. The plugin is documented to work up to 3.0.5 so perhaps it hasn’t been tested up to the current version? I hope duck_ makes a response because there are I think only 3 plugins which are supposed to perform these functions and none of them work. Ok, Mail-On-Update just worked. I have no idea why. I did download an update for it a few days ago and added a few e-mail addresses for it to notify. It notified everyone. I hope this works out. It’s a great tip for me, personally. 🙂 Thanks. Mail-On-Update just worked Thanks for sharing what worked for you. It would certainly help others too. Please change this topic to “resolved” so that others know you solved this issue. Issue is resolved.
