Hi there, sadly, this plugin has stopped working on my blog, propably about three days ago. Until then it had worked just as intendet. Now, I get self-pings whenever I update an article. Will there be an update? Or do you have any advice on how to solve this? Ist reinstalling the plugin a good idea? Kind regards Florian The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link] Hi Florian, Reinstalling shouldn’t make a difference. Indeed, nothing should have changed for it to stop working. Has the site domain or structure changed at all? WordPress or PHP version? If you head to Settings -> Discussion, are the settings for the plugin correct? The description on that screen should include which domain it’s looking for. Hi David, thanks for the quick reply! I changed neither site structure nor the domain. No other major updates either, especially no PHP or WordPress-Updates. I did delete some plugins I no longer needed, but I don’t see how this would affect the self-pings. Under Settings -> Discussion it says: “By default, No Self Pings will exclude pings for this site ( https://rollenspielblog.net ) but you can supply additional URLs below.” This is indeed the correct domain. Don’t know if this is in any way relevant, but when I link to my own site, I always do so with target=”_blank”. But this is not new either and didn’t produce any self-pings before. Do you have any other ideas? I found the culprit! It was a plugin I deleted. This somehow messed with my https settings. It’s all fixed now. No self pings works like a charm once again! Ah, brilliant. Yes, SSL was another thing that would have affected this, so I’m glad you found it.
