Optional Information – Theme URI Doesn’t Work

Is there a reason the theme uri doesn’t actually save the theme at that uri? I’d rather have my theme uri be “short-and-simple” rather than “the-whole-full-name-of-my-business-or-organization”. https://my-domain.com/wp-content/themes/short-and-simple-astra-child/ vs https://my-domain.com/wp-content/themes/the-whole-full-name-of-my-business-or-organization-astra-child/
