review · 4 starsYou can only import from Pretty Links if you have a file. For this you have to pay at least 99$ to could have exported there 🙂 Update: I got help by manually importing from pretty links by giving credits. I suggest to implement import without an expensiv file there (Pretty Links export 99$) as for example URL Shortify doe’s. I also was confused that categories management is only to see in grid view. All in one, the support was very kind and helpfully.
Hi there @jaroslawistok I’m really sorry for the inconvenience you’ve experienced. However, I’d like to clarify that our BetterLinks plugin has a built-in migration system, which is completely available in the free version . You don’t need a file to run the migration from Pretty Links. While we do offer an import/export feature for advanced use, if you’re already using Pretty Links, you can easily migrate all of your links without any cost, it has always been completely free. I’ve created a video demonstration to help guide you through the process: https://d.pr/v/QeVzzS Please check your dashboard —you should see an option for migration from Pretty Links like the video which I have given above. If you’re still having any issues, we’d love to investigate further. If you could share a screenshot, screencast video, or any other reference, we can assist you in resolving the problem properly. Thanks for your understanding, and we’re here to help! We are really looking forward to hearing from you Best regards, Pial
Video shows only installing if Pretty Links 🙂 I only see the option under Tools where I have I have to choose a file. Elsewhere I don’t see any option to import. I already had a ticket in your forum. This import should be only to beging. I even tried to reinstall Better links but I guess the database stays not clean after deinstall. So import doesn’t start P.S. Also seraching with keyword (Site name by Prettylinks f.e.) ist here still not possible
Hello again @jaroslawistok Thanks for the update! I’m sorry for what you’re experiencing, and I appreciate your patience. To help troubleshoot the issue further, I’d recommend performing a plugin conflict test . Because the migration should’ve appeared on the dashboard . Here’s how you can do the plugin conflict test : Disable all other plugins , except for Pretty Links and BetterLinks. Once those are the only two active plugins, check if the migration option becomes available on your dashboard and see if you can proceed with the import. This will help us identify if another plugin is causing the conflict. Also please let me know how many links you currently have in Pretty Links. Regarding the search issue you mentioned—searching with a keyword (like the site name from Pretty Links) not working—could you provide more details? Specifically, are you trying to search for links created by Pretty Links using specific keywords, and they aren’t showing in the results? If you could share a screencast of the behavior of the Dashboard after the Plugin Conflict, it might help us to understand better. Looking forward to hearing the results of the test and resolving this for you!
