review · 1 starsThe plugin marks perfectly fine working links as broken all the time. And the worst is that on frontend, it strikes through the link text when it “thinks” the link is broken (while it is working perfectly fine). So, every time one needs to log in, go to the plugin and tell the plugin that nope, that link is not broken. This is so annoying. Plugin uninstalled now and looking for an alternative solution.
Hello @marcel-maurice , I’m sorry to hear about the issue. Usually, BLC works well and only detects broken URLs, not functional ones. To review this more closely, could you please open a new topic here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/broken-link-checker/#new-topic-0 ? This will allow us to assist you better. – Kind Regards, Imran Khan This reply was modified 7 months, 3 weeks ago by Imran - WPMU DEV Support .
Hello again @marcel-maurice , Regarding this point: And the worst is that on frontend, it strikes through the link text when it “thinks” the link is broken (while it is working perfectly fine). Currently, we don’t have complete information or any links provided for testing and determining the cause of the issue. However, you can disable the strikethrough line entirely from the front end by navigating to BLC >> Local >> Settings >> Link tweaks, and then unchecking ‘Apply custom formatting to broken links.’ Image reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hOCxW2mJmlmJnRgOaQZPpDGHYxbIfLVP/view?usp=drive_link . This will help to remove the strikethrough. – Kind Regards, Imran Khan
