The web page at https://www.simply2.co.uk/wp-admin/upload.php?page=mass-edge-export-media-library might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE Have tried the various different options, but none have worked. Error is occurring after pressing download zip. Hmm, I’m not sure. A few people have noticed a similar issue in the past. What hosting provider are you using? At this point I’m not sure I can do much until someone gives me temporary access to their site, so I can test the problem for myself. At this point I’m not sure I can do much until someone gives me temporary access to their site, so I can test the problem for myself. @andrejpavlovic Do not ask for that, do not imply that you need that here. That would get you into real trouble in these forums. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums. And do not imply it either. https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER. If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty. Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team. chelles4, looks like you’re on your own. (@andrejpavlovic) I use Siteground to host my website and our dns is with Fasthost @chelles4 , Ivan Atanasov from SiteGround here. I must disagree with @andrejpavlovic (apologies for that) – you are not on your own, this is a forum where you can get help for various (if not all) WordPress related issues. If I may, I would like to offer a way to go about the problem you are facing: 1. Post a Support Ticket from your SiteGround User Area reporting this issue. Share some details as to how to reproduce the problem and when did it happen 2. A Technical Support member will address your inquiry and investigate it. If it is confirmed that the problem is not with the actual hosting and/or server – the team will share their findings and will offer an alternative. 3. Depending on the outcome and if it still looks like this is a problem with the plugin, you can get the provided information and share it here, presenting it in your own words, so that the plugin dev can have something to work with without having to ask for your logins. @ivanatanasov Thank you very much I will log a support ticket now and up date this post accordingly I have had a reply from siteground support and they have said “It seems that the plugin you’re using is most likely not compatible with one of the other plugins installed on your website or with the PHP version that your website is using. Still we won’t be able to further investigate this problem and help you resolve it since plugins are third party software and therefore are not within the scope of our support.” They have offered me an alternative solution to export images/media files from our website without the need for third party plugins. Hey, Hristo from SiteGround here. I’ve taken the liberty to make a temp account to your site and troubleshoot that further. Although, I agree that this is beyond the scope of the regular hsoting support, I wanted to check out what’s the reason behind this strange behaviour. Generally, the plugin uses a third party library ( https://github.com/maennchen/ZipStream-PHP ) which obviously doesn’t work very well. If you want to export your media files, you can do it with simple bash commends. If it’s something you need to do once, I can tell you how to do it manually, or if you want to do it on schedule, we can set a cronjob for that 🙂 @hristo-sg It isn’t something we need to do on a regular basis, may be once a year when we do our catalogue and we have new products or new images. @jdembowski Thanks for the public shaming, I really needed that. We will be working together with @andrejpavlovic to make it work on SG servers. Please stay put, we will update this ticket once there’s a solution. Off topic: @andrejpavlovic It’s unfortunate that you took it that way. That was not by any means a public shaming. If anything that was a form letter and I hope you realize that my doing that was just part of the moderator role and responsibilities. If you or anyone have any complaints about any moderator reacting to your behavior then please feel free to escalate to otto[at]wordpress.org as he moderates the moderators. Off topic thanks to @jdembowski : I’m not sure what you mean it’s unfortunate that I took it that way. You publicly posted what I did wrong and how I put the entire community at risk. That’s the definition of public shaming. You could have messaged me privately about the forum rules, not hijack the thread. Hiya, To the original topic creator, I am sorry for the noise this is likely making in your inbox, and in general. To prevent this, as it would appear this topic is derailing, I am going to close it. I do apologize for the inconvenience, and I encourage you to create a new topic if you so wish. Andrej, there’s no public shaming here, it is literally a form letter, which we’ve used thousands of times before. It even includes a mention that there’s no belief of ill intent, but that to protect everyone, including you, we do not allow such interactions here on WordPress.org We have no manner of direct communication on the forums, and rightfully so. It’s a public community, and as such we communicate publicly, this is because the message isn’t just for you, it’s for the ones who may be considering to provide such details, to anyone who may google how to give out access, it’s just a benefit to all when such information is made clear.
