The site has a page about “roof void inspection”, with 4 instances of this phrase on the page, including the main heading, and 1 in the page title. When I type this expression exactly into the search box, the relevant page appears at the top of the search results. However, when I add an “s” to the end, I only get other pages, related to “roof” and “inspection”, but not what a human being would expect. “roof void inspector” is just as bad. Looks like the indexing and/or search might not be considering word forms, and it really should. The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link] Hi, Thanks for reporting this. We are checking. We updated the search feature in the last update. Thanks Thank you for this. The phrase “site inspection” appears in the sidebar menu on many pages, but it doesn’t appear in any of my short responses or FAQs. If you search for it, though, you get 2 short responses offered (Did you mean), and if you type “No”, the search results aren’t the best matches. Same with “thermal imaging”. I think the matching engine still needs work. Hi, Sorry, missed this one. We checked your site and site search is working. Please check the screencast video: https://www.loom.com/share/afc9af0daf5f47f094a83908fee1b766 It seems like your created some Simple Text Responses. If a matching STR is found, it will show instead of site search results. If more than one is found, it will show “Did you mean?” and show all the matching STRs. Thank you Thank you for the video. This thread is about word forms. “site inspection s ” is still not matching the relevant pages for “site inspection” and giving very different search results. If a matching STR is found, it will show instead of site search results The short reponses that appear when searching for “site inspection” WITHOUT first choosing Site Search are not good matches. Increasing the threshold from 0.4 to 0.6 didn’t make a difference. BTW, the form to change the match threshold has no button. Hitting ENTER saves the new setting, but I was unsure how to save at first. @jamil01 There have been several releases of the plugin since my last reply, often with fairly trivial tweaks, and none of them seemed to contain a fix for matching word forms, which I would consider essential. Have I missed something? If not, could you please update the plugin to match word forms? This reply was modified 5 months, 2 weeks ago by Gal Baras .
