supportHi, I’m having issues with this add-on not awarding points to the users. I have a point type set-up that works for visiting posts, commenting on posts and also works with BuddyPress and YouTube “Watch a video” integrations, however the points are not awarded for the Multimedia Content options “Watch any video” nor “Watch a specific video” that then links to a locally stored video file. I am using a SKRN – Media Streaming App WordPress Theme ( preview ) which comes with it’s own video player, but I also tried using the regular WordPress player by placing the video shortcode into the body of a page and none of them seem to trigger the event despite the video being played in its full length. I’m on the version 5.5.1 of WordPress and all the plugins are updated. Thanks for any help in advance. The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link]
Hi @kovalskyk ! I’m so glad to help you today. 😄 The point is if your theme changes the default media player of WordPress. For this reason, I would recommend you activate another theme like “Twenty Twenty” and check if it works. If it is still not working, please try to make a conflict test. It is explained how do you should do it in this link: https://gamipress.com/docs/troubleshooting/theme-and-plugins-conflict-test/ . Please, let us know if everything goes ok. 😉 Have a great day!
Marked as resolved Just tested on a clean theme and Multimedia Content works as expected Also, remember that Multimedia Content only awards for watch the video fully, from the start to the end Best regards
Hi @flabernardez and @rubengc . Unfortunately, I haven’t had success with your suggestions. I downgraded to WordPress 5.4.2 which is displayed as the Tested up to version, activated a Twenty Twenty theme, disabled all of my plugins apart from GamiPress and GamiPress – Multimedia Content, but my points are still not being awarded as you can see on these screenshots I took Imgur link .
Hi @kovalskyk Your configuration seems correct I just released a new update to the Multimedia Content add-on that improves the way the player is detected Could you try it now with this new update? Best regards
Hi @rubengc The newest update seems to have fixed the issue for me, the points are assigned for watching a video now when using the native WordPress video player. I’m still having issues with using video players from Elementor or from my theme . I will have to somehow work my way around it I guess. Thank you a lot for helping me with solving my issue. Have a nice day.
Hi @kovalskyk Glad to meet you got it working now Is expected that won’t work with others players because our add-on is designed to work only with the WordPress built-in players Best regards
