Links must have gone from deprecated to removed; this plugin no longer displays them in the sidebar. https://wordpress.org/plugins/link-manager/ It works for me on a fresh install with the default theme and no other plugins. Have you tried deactivating any plugins? With all plugins stripped away on a single-site installation I now see the links sidebar item again. Unfortunately, the custom plugin that is causing this to go away is one that we need, so I’ll switch tactic and uninstall Link Manager at this point. The plugin is based on WP-MVC, which in itself doesn’t seem to cause a problem. But something about our custom code that adds new content types and manipulates the admin sidebar panel is causing Links to disappear. Thanks anyway. I would be happy to help you track down the conflict if you like. Thanks. If links had a certain future, I’d consider it. but given it’s deprecated and could possibly be removed permanently at some point, I think I’ll handle what it was doing for us a different way. Good luck! I had over 400 links in various categories that vanished when I upgraded to WP 3.9. If I uninstall and reinstall this plugin, I’ll lose them all, correct? Is there no way to migrate all my links to another plugin or get this plugin working again? It really was incredibly helpful. You will not lose anything. This plugin simply flips a switch that enables the link manager. The culprit is likely another plugin or your theme.
