Exactly the same for me. Just updated the plugin and it caused a critical error on my website. Had to deactivate the plugin. Following this post in the hope for a solution.

Same for me – I disabled the plugin by changing its name in cPanel – time to look for a new plugin
Yep there is a missing file it seems: PHP Warning: include_once(): Failed opening ‘/home/customer/www/mywebsite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cookie-notice/includes/react-admin-ajax.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php83/pear’) in /home/customer/www/mywebsite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cookie-notice/cookie-notice.php on line 735
Same here, instalation disabled it with following message: “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error .”

Same problem. Fatal error : Uncaught Error: Class “Cookie_Notice_React_Admin_Ajax” not found. react-admin-ajax.php file is missing in includes folder.
Same issue here. I tried deleting and reinstalling the plugin from scratch but the fatal error is still there. The file includes/react-admin-ajax.php is just not included in the package at all. So the class Cookie_Notice_React_Admin_Ajax never loads and WordPress crashes on every page load. Looks like the current release has a missing file. Please push a fix.
Same here. Temporarily fixed it by renaming the plugin via FTP. Also looking for an alternative plugin, damn it.
v3.0.1 fixes it. Thanks for the quick fix!
And how exactly are you supposed to get v3.0.1 without removing the plugin then going through the install steps again. I don’t remember what choices I made when installing it and I do not feel like learning what I need to do. I will find an alternative
Hi Jim, I just downloaded the new version and then put the missing file into the folder via ftp. All settings saved. I could then load my site and then update the plugin via the plugin manager
Same for me this morning. I updated with confidence and then … critical error. It was on my blog (WP6.9.4 and PHP 8.3). I’ve managed the bug, waiting for a solution. But I have this plugin installed in few others websites. When do you think it will be ok, with a new new version? Thank you. Are you sure that the version 3.0.1 is ok, I’m scared now. I wonder if I should find another plugin . . . just in case. Waiting for other testimonies about it.
