supportWill the plugin is working? I need to search the backend, will the plugin work? can it search part of the SKU?
Hi @mstudioil I am currently preparing an update for this plugin. It will search the backend and still works with the most recent wordpress & woocommerce.
Great, thanks I saw there is a new version, this version will search the backend?
I search SKU but it didn’t found. I need to search the exact SKU or I can search part of it?
The plugin will search back and front end. It does a fuzzy search at the start and end of the search term. For example: You have a product with SKU WP1234 Search for WP12 <- SUCCESS Search for 1234 <- SUCCESS Search for WP <- SUCCESS However if all of the search term does not appear inside the SKU it will not return, for example: Search for WP12345 <- FAIL Search for WP01234 <- FAIL I hope that is a bit clearer which conditions the plugin will find your product.
I have products with variations each variation have different SKU for example ECU0502-238 and ECU0502-000, will the search work for the variations?
Yes, if you search for ECU0502 or the exact SKU ECU0502-238 it should appear in your search results. Is this not happening?
The search found ECU0502-000 but didn’t found ECU0502-238
Ok, I will try and reproduce something later this week just to be clear before I try and reproduce. You have 2 products with this structure: Product one — Variation has SKU ECU0502-238 Product Two — Variation has SKU ECU0502-000 A search for ECU0502 returns Product two but not Product one? Do the top level products also have an SKU (In the inventory tab)?
I have one product with 2 Variations: Variation 1: ECU0502-000 Variation 2: ECU0502-238 If I search ECU0502-000 I getting the product if I search ECU0502-238 I get no results
Hi @mstudioil I tried to reproduce this but the search worked fine for me with a fresh woocommerce / wordpress install. Do you have any other search or caching related plugins activated? I have an update coming in a few days that fixes some bugs relating to searching for multiple products. It’s possible this could fix your issue depending on your setup.
OK, I will wait of the update
Try the latest version 0.7.0, it was released a few days ago
OK, thanks
I tried search of SKU but didn’t found it, I search it in the phpmyadmin and found it. Is the search case sensitive? can I use % in the search?
