supportHi Nicolas, I noticed the changelog said there was now an admin notice for Mediapapa. I’ve long recommended your plugin to our own users, so I was curious was this was all about, and I have a few questions/observations: The link in the admin notice is broken/incorrect. It goes to a 404 on your site, instead of the Mediapapa plugin on wordpress.org, as the wording seems to imply. The notice contains multiple spelling/grammar issues. If you need, I can help you out with that. The changelog seems to indicate the admin notice can be dismissed, but will come back after each plugin update, and possibly any time someone activates a new plugin? That’s pretty aggressive, and not something of which I’m okay with. I would not install the plugin on any of my sites with that behavior.
Hi Shane, Thanks for your feedback. It’s a bit late here in France, Nicolas will surely get back to you but since I was involved in this update, I’ll share some details I’m aware of. I just wanted to let you know that the blog post and the page were published a few minutes ago. He was quicker to upload the new version than I was to review the content! 😛 It should work now. I’m sharing the link with you since it might provide more context for everyone: https://www.wp-mediapapa.com/simple-image-sizes-is-now-part-of-the-mediapapa-products/ Hmm, okay, we’ll check the notice content again. I think we didn’t check it properly. Any help would be appreciated. As for the admin notice, yes, it should be dismissible easily. The idea was to create a tiny friction without bothering people much. Since there are only about one, maybe two updates a year of Simple Image Sizes, it seems okay for the banner to reappear and we’ll maybe remove after a time. As for the displaying the banner at the activation, the idea was to display it at the initial installation but there’s maybe a better idea for that? What could be a better fit in your opinion? Cheers, Jason This reply was modified 1 month, 2 weeks ago by Jason Rouet .
