I have updated my plugin and it has corrupted all my legacy content – I have installed from a back up and got it back but I am very concerned about this. The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link] Did you get any error messages in the browser’s console (Ctrl-Shift-J in Chrome) when trying to view the content? Or maybe something related in the PHP error log? Is there a link where I could view the broken page? Like a staging site or something. I will update my staging site now and show you before and after – when I update with the latest version my h5p disappears – I might be that it’s in a container? Super! If you are able to share a link I can try to determine the cause of the issue Unfortunately I have not been able to test on a working staging site due to inode limits on my hosting. When I update the H5P plugin or any libraries, my existing activities which all contain question sets of a mix of question types I lose all the content. The set still appear in the H5P content list, but: When viewed on the frontend, they are blank. When I open them in the editor all the questions have disappeared. This is happening on a WordPress site using the H5P plugin. My site is heavily reliant on H5P content (hundreds of activities), so this is causing major problems. What I have already done to avoid the issue: Disabled automatic updates for the H5P plugin Disabled the H5P Hub I am currently not updating the plugin or libraries on the live site and am creating new content only with the existing frozen libraries. my sites are: ks2satsready.co.uk functionalskillsready.co.uk I am happy to help as best as I can for you to sort this out. I will purchase extra space for a staging site later today https://staging2.functionalskillsready.co.uk/level-2-reading-mock-paper-1/ This is after the update I will attach screenshots of before and after Here is a webpage with my screenshots – I hope this is useful I can give you access to my staging site if that’s any use https://staging2.functionalskillsready.co.uk/9033-2/ Great! Are you able to add the following to the wp-config.php on the site that you’ve updated? define('H5P_DISABLE_AGGREGATION', true); Before the line that says: /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ This will help us determine if it’s a problem with the caching/update or the plugin itself. done Thanks, I suspect there is a bug with the upgrade process for the libraries/content types. Are you able to run this SQL query on the test site? update wp_h5p_contents set filtered = ''; It should clear the content cache and verify that this is indeed the issue, i.e. it should start working after that. If that is the case we’ll create an update for the plugin to address this! I’ll try to do some testing on a local site as well to verify the issue. Thank you! I don’t seem to be able to access staging admin now Ok, no worries, I should be able to try and recreate this on my test site now. Actually I am on it and my content is now working there is a strange blue box on my content though That is great to hear! We will create an update for the plugin that prevents this from happening when upgrading. Will post an update once it’s ready! screenshot is top of this webpage https://staging2.functionalskillsready.co.uk/9033-2/ I have uploaded an H5P file that I made and downloaded after I updated and before I realised the problem. I have uploaded that content to new webpage and formatting is fine for that. The update seems to have corrupted my legacy content. This is the link to my new H5P content made after the update https://staging2.functionalskillsready.co.uk/sdlpe6hfht/ We’ve released a new update of the plugin that should solve the upgrade issues you are seeing. Are you able to “reset” the staging site and check if upgrading using the new plugins works? Thank you for helping us getting to the bottom of this. This is much better. There is still an issue with the blue boxes on legacy content which hasn’t been resolved. See here. https://staging2.functionalskillsready.co.uk/9033-2/ My legacy content has the two blue blocks next to the check box need arrows going back and forth or saying next and previous. The blue boxes give the user no direction. I can’t install the update on my main site until this is resolved. It would be great if those blue boxes could look like the new update next and previous versions It seems this is an issue with the content types themselves, using an older verison of Question Set with the latest version of Multichoice. I’ve informed the right parties about this issue. Until a fix is issued you can get around it by either: 1. Running the content upgrade for Question Set, i.e. the green arrow on the Libraries page /wp-admin/admin.php?page=h5p_libraries 2. Or editing and saving the content again, however, this is more cumbersome. I would recommend approach 1. Note: This remains an issue for at least one other content type, because semantic versioning was not done properly for content types when introducing the theming update. For instance, the latest release version of GameMap uses QuestionSet 1.20 which will use MultiChoice 1.16 – and if the latter incorporates theming (which should have been encompassed by bumping to 1.17), you will run into the same problem. This cannot be fixed by upgrading yet, because GameMap needs to be updated first. I won’t be able to update until that is done as I have over 200 quiz sets that are affected. Is there a plan in place to update GameMap? I’ll give option 1 a go and see how that works and feedback @sophiewat Yes, GameMap will receive a couple of new features and a fix shortly. You can upgrade your QuestionSet contents. That will not touch any QuestionSets used inside GameMap though. Most of the arrows were greyed out – the question sets have been updated successfully which is great – I need to do a check through multiple question sets though before I update main site. See here for error I got when I updated question sets. https://staging2.functionalskillsready.co.uk/9033-2/ Hello guys, are you still creating content manually? Meet the H5 Automation tool.
