Hi, Thanks for making such a great plugin; I enjoy using it. However, I just touched on an issue that is quite urgent: When inspecting the HTML of a page using the shortcode in the post title, I noticed the meta data is returning the shortcode code instead of the value that it returns on the page. I attach a screenshot of the confidential example site, that uses the plugin together with RankMath: https://i.imgur.com/FotB1Wj.png The following instances have the shortcode in the HTML meta data: meta og:title meta twitter:title There may be an issue with other meta data properties as well, but this example uses it only in the title of the post. This meta data is obviously very critical to a website, so I hope this can be resolved soon. Thanks in advance. Jim On it. RankMath may have pushed an update that caused this. I’ll debug this and come with a solution. Hi, just checked. Which version of RankMath and the plugin are you using? I have added a shortcode in title: https://share.cleanshot.com/8exhvn The metadata looks great: https://share.cleanshot.com/tifVOH I’m on the latest version of Rank Math: Version 1.0.100.1 (not Pro) I’m on Generatepress (the latest version). The shortcode code also appears inside the post editor in the Rank Math preview toolbar. As you can see in the screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/4o4xz20.png Hold on, I just noticed the meta data appears two times inside the <head> of the website. This should not happen ofcourse. One meta data instance is generated with the year numbers, and one shows the shortcode. At first glance the one that shows the year number is the one from Rank Math. Perhaps the meta data showing the shortcode is generated from the Generatepress theme. However, I still wonder if the shortcode should appear in the Rank Math preview tool like it does, as mentioned above? That’s possible. Check if you have added any custom snippets or GP elements. About the editor preview, that’s normal. WordPress (not Rank Math) doesn’t allow rendering of shortcodes in the editor itself. I see no snippet that could influence this outcome. Have you tested your plugin with Generatepress + GenerateBlocks + Rank Math and confirmed you see no shortcode in the metadata? This: https://overeview.com/bloomingdales-black-friday/ No matter what the combo is, having duplicate OG data is bad for your website. Are you using any social sharing plugin? I am marking this thread as resolved. Let me know if you need any further help.
