supportOn to the next problem. My media library no longer shows any images, and the ones on the site are spotty at best (I think they’re only appearing because I haven’t cleared my cache properly?). For the record, I enabled SSL everywhere. In my previous problem, the Bad Behavior plugin was blocking the One-click SSL plugin from doing its job so I deactivated it. I’ve also deactivated wordfence to ensure it isn’t interfering. All of the image files are still there on the backend, I can see them through FTP, I just can’t change the http to https Thanks for your assist on this. The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link]
@jensoko I see your images say 404 Not Found, eg. https://athenagrayson.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Scions-Paperback-Front.jpg The only change/difference is that the images load over https:// instead of http:// Can you please ask your hosting provider why https:// images would show 404 Not Found? Some hosts still host files of https:// in it’s own folder/directory, this could be the cause.
Yes, the images still show up if I open the link directly as an http. As far as I can see through FTP, the files are located within the wordpress hierarchy in the usual places – they’re grouped in /wp-content/uploads/$year/$month/. In the wordpress dashboard, the image library shows the blank tile where the image preview would be, and when I click on it, the information shows the URL as starting with https:// I’m opening a ticket with A Small Orange (my provider) now.
ASO returned and said there’s something in the wordpress database that hasn’t changed regarding the media. My trip to whynopadlock.com shows errors that go “an image $img-url-blahblahblah was loaded on line: 724 of https://athenagrayson.com/.” ;
resolved this with my host. I had a conflicting .htaccess file in a directory above the site directory
@jensoko I’m glad to hear that you managed to resolve this problem.
