I thought plugin was broken, when I did a search for a filename I knew was there in media list. No results. I switched from list to grid, and the search worked fine – wonderful in fact, found partial matches and everything! So very weird it didn’t work in list, just grid. Any thoughts? https://wordpress.org/plugins/media-search-enhanced/ Hey mtcreations, I just did some tests, and it seemed worked fine here. Here’s the screencast http://g.recordit.co/BxbN9ZLNiH.gif . (If there’s a 403 forbidden at the screencast page, please copy and paste the link to your browser) Can you let me know what’s the filename? Oops. I used another account to answer your question. Sorry I didn’t notice. I just retested on a site where I disabled all other plugins, and still get the same result. Works in grid, but no results returned in list mode. file partials were ‘night’, ‘day’, and ‘kid’, as well as a full file name of an image I know was in there. It’s OK, but odd. Sorry to hear that. For now I can’t get it fix because I can’t reproduce it on my server. I’ll keep an eye on it and let you know once I find out what’s going on. Thanks for your feedback. I’d like to report the same problem. Search returns nothing unless in grid view. Hello jessn, Thanks for your feedback. I really need to know about more details to get this solved. I’ve tried on my local and production servers, and it just works… Can you send an email to yoren [at] 1fix.io? That I need to ask for some sensitive info about your server so I can sort things out. Thanks! Hello, It is very curious: – I have the same problem on a local test site (with Wampserver) -> search on the description works in grid mode, but not in list mode. – On the other side, I have no problem on an online test site. On the site where the plugin does not work, I tried to put the same theme as the site where it works, and I also turned off all other plugins. But that does not change. So why does a configuration work and not the other one? hey flobogo, That’s very interesting! I’ll need to take a look at the WP core, to see how exactly perform the search. Thanks for the test you’ve done, that really helped! All the better if it helps you. In fact, I was looking for a plugin to tag images in order to sort / select easily (I already have 230 photos on my site). But those I’ve tried are heavy or too complex. Enhanced Media File works well but it impacts on the number of topics displayed in the tag cloud. Your plugin is lightweight and allows an easy research. It will be really great when it can work in media list for all sites. Keep us posted. Hello everyone, I create a develop branch, you can download it from the GitHub repo: https://github.com/1fixdotio/media-search-enhanced/archive/develop.zip Can you help me test on the list mode, and see if the problem goes away? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks! Hello, I was away this weekend. I ‘ll test this as soon as possible and come back to tell you about. hello, Unfortunately, it did not work! I installed the development version on my local site, and there is still no research possible from the list . Good luck to continue… Hey thanks for the report! I thought I spot the issue, now I know I didn’t. I’ll keep on trying. Thanks again!
