reviewThe latest update caused pending payments to show. Customer payments went through but pending on admin for intermittent orders. Changed the payment plugin to a different one and it fixed the problem. So the issue was with this plugin.
Hi @danno57 — thank you for your feedback! We’ve tested our plugin and everything seems to be working fine on our end. We haven’t received any similar reports from our users in the two weeks since our last release. Could you please confirm that you were using our plugin? We noticed that you had a support thread open on a different PayPal plugin in November 2025 ( https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-sort-pay-later-button/ ). Best Regards
Yes it was definitely your plugin. We’ve been using it for months. After the latest update, intermitted payments would show at pending payment, like the hook system is broken. We’ve changed plugin now.
Hi @danno57 — thank you, and again, I’m sorry for the disruption. I want to be straight with you about where things stand on our side, so we can solve this together: This release has been live for two weeks across 10,000+ active installs, and yours is the only report we’ve had of orders staying pending. The changes in this release didn’t touch the payment capture or order-status handling at all. We’ve tried to reproduce the pending-order behaviour on our test environments and haven’t been able to. That combination usually means the trigger is something specific to your site — most often another plugin or a theme that was recently added or updated and is interrupting the order-status update for certain orders. The difficulty is that we can’t see your environment from here, so I genuinely need your help to find it. The single most useful thing you can send is your WooCommerce System Status Report: WooCommerce → Status → Get system report → Copy for support, then paste it into this thread. It lists your active plugins, theme, and versions — no customer or payment data — and it’s usually enough for me to spot a likely conflict. I know you’ve switched plugins, and that’s completely fair — but if you’re willing to send the report, I’ll dig in and make sure this is resolved properly. Best regards
