supportHey! First of all: Thank you so much, Snowball seems perfect for journalists an storytellers! I was so excited as I found it, but then I realized… I cant upload images. Text, tables, videos etc. work fine, but no images – no matter if I take jpg or png. I also tried it with an older wordpress-version, but nothing happens. Please help, I´m planning to teach my students how to work with snowball very soon. Thank you Tina This topic was modified 9 years, 6 months ago by tina23 .
Hi Tina, Is there any sort of error message when you try to upload an image? Here is a gif showing the steps you should be able to take to upload an image. Please let me know if this works for you. http://gph.is/2fdlOFt Thanks, Tom This reply was modified 9 years, 6 months ago by thomaspark . This reply was modified 9 years, 6 months ago by thomaspark . Hi Tom, thanks for your quick reply. I checked the gif – that is exactly how I do it. I dont get any error message, the image is just not showing up after I selected one to insert it into the post. The field where the placeholder used to be is just empty after I selected an image. The rest works fine, but the images refuse to show up. It´s really strange, because I tried it with several themes and wordpress versions. Thank you Tina
Can you try manually pasting an image url into the field and see if it works from there? Also, if you’re willing to create a temporary account on your WordPress site, I’d be happy to test it out on my end. You can use hello@thomaspark.co for the account.
Hi Tom, the manually pasting worked! ( http://bit.ly/2eE0I22 ) I created an account for you. WordPress is running in german, but I guess that should be no problem 😉 Thank you! Tina
Thanks, I’ve pinned down the issue. This bug actually affects modules with image uploader (image, splash, and image slider) for non-English languages. I am pushing a fix in the v0.4.9 update which is available now. Please confirm after updating that it is working on your end. This reply was modified 9 years, 6 months ago by thomaspark .
Works perfect now! Thank you so much!
Excellent! We’re thrilled you’ll be using Snowball in your course. Please let us know if you come across any other issues.
