Immediately after install the horrible “Freemius” dialogue pops up, deactivated and uninstalled. Hi Ryan, I agree that popup is a bit annoying but it’s there because we and freemius care about your privacy and legal reasons, I will discuss with freemius if there is some option to remove it but this definitely should not be the reason why you uninstall plugin and write such bad review here. All info here: https://freemius.com/wordpress/usage-tracking/5253/winterlock/ We investing a lot of time and money into making this plugin and giving lot of features for free here to help WordPress community and make Activity Log as detailed possible, so such behavior from you don’t looks fair at all, and I notice you hurting also to other plugin developers: https://wordpress.org/support/users/nayr80/reviews/ If you need logging feature and have some idea to improve WinterLock Activity Log plugin we will be happy to discuss with you and we can make together plugin even better, on our website on bottom right is live chat feature via whatsapp: https://activity-log.com/ You are welcome! This is a completely unfair review. You’re getting this plugin for free and these developers have taken a lot of time, money and talent to make this plugin. Usage tracking is opt-in of course, so I’m not sure what you’re complaining about. Just opt-out. Thank you very much! Just found this review and normally I don’t add my voice, but here I totally agree with the replies. Many users are happy to be informed about extended features and who absolutely doesn’t like it could simply uninstall it. And also developers need to pay their bills and if they give away lots of work for free (you can actually build a professional website using only free plugins) you should grant them at least the right to earn money somewhere else and continue their work, which is also for the benefit of users of the free version.
