This is suppose to be a free addon, but you can’t do anything without the API key apparently, and that costs 9.00 per month. I might as well forget being an affiliate at all with that price. Hello. Using the free version of Auto Affiliate Links you can manually add keyword-url pairs that will be shown through your website. For example, if you add keyword: android and url http://android.com , all occurrences of “android” will be made links that will point to android.com . You do not have to pay for this. There are many paid plugins that will charge you money for this type of linking. What is the $9 payment for ? We have developed an engine that automatically find product references and important keywords, then it connects to merchants API ( amazon, clickbank, shareasale, ebay, etc ) and try to find the most relevant links. Unfortunately, we cannot add this functionality directly in the wordpress plugin. There are external libraries needed to make the API connections to different merchants. These libraries are not GPL compatible and also require some options to be activated on the server, which are not activated by default in most environments. Also, there is a lot of processing needed and this might cause wordpress running slow. The price we are asking is for the costs to maintain and pay the server monthly fee.
