supportI just received an email to tell me it’s been more than a week since I installed Broken Link Checker on my website, but you haven’t connected your account yet. I have not logged in to my WordPress dashboard for a few weeks and did not install this plugin. Is it possible that it could have been installed automatically as I have the all in one SEO pack? The page I need help with: [ log in to see the link]
Hi @sarahcallan , Thanks for reaching out — I’m happy to clarify this for you. During the All in One SEO setup wizard , we offer the option to install a few recommended companion plugins (Step 3 of 7), one of which is Broken Link Checker . That option is checked by default , so if the setup was completed without deselecting it, Broken Link Checker would have been installed automatically at that time. That’s most likely why you received the email, even though you haven’t logged into your dashboard recently. A couple of important reassurances: Broken Link Checker is a separate plugin from AIOSEO It does not activate paid features or charge anything on its own You’re completely free to keep it, disable it, or delete it If you don’t want to use it, you can simply go to Plugins → Installed Plugins in WordPress and deactivate or delete Broken Link Checker . Hope that clears things up! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you for your prompt response. That probably explains it.
