Hi there! This opt-out snippet is added by default for all logged in users to avoid recording page views and other metrics from your own use of the website. Guest users who are not logged in would not see this code on the page. If you have a site that has users that log in but should still be recorded in Google Analytics, you can configure this setting to either opt-out users who can edit posts, or turn it off entirely. You can find this setting “Exclude Analytics” in the Analytics settings in Site Kit from the admin menu: Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services and editing the settings for Analytics. I hope that clarifies things, but if not, let us know!
Thank you. However, Site Kit is only showing 1 day of data (since I installed). How is data being integrated with our existing GA4 property?
Thanks for the update @jcollier . When did you connect Site Kit? It can take some time for data to be gathered, so it may be normal if you either connected Site Kit in the past day, or if the connected property or data stream was changed. In relation to how data is being integrated with your existing GA4 property it’s no different to manually adding that code snippet related to your existing property manually. Data will collect for your Site Kit specific URL for that property. If there was pre-existing data, Site Kit will display this also providing the URL matches. If you want to share your site URL here or privately via this form I can confirm no issue with data and that Site Kit is working as expected in relation to Analytics.

Many thanks for sharing @jcollier , much appreciated. I reviewed your site both manually and using the tagassistant.google.com service. From doing so I can see that site visits are recording as expected , with the Site Kit placed snipper. All looks to be ok with your setup also based on the Site Health information you kindshard. On a separate note, I do see you have Tag Manager connected, and the connected container is not published . While this isn’t a Site Kit issue, you may wish to review this as this related to the property you have connected within Site Kit. Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you!
